How to Care for Non-Stick Tawa & Fry Pan | Care Guide | Tawaana
Care Guide
Tawaana cookware is built to last for years. A few simple habits keep the non-stick coating performing like day one.
First use
Wash with warm water and mild soap, dry completely, and wipe a few drops of oil over the surface.
Everyday cooking
- Pre-heat on low to medium for 1-2 minutes. The iron body heats evenly, so you rarely need full flame.
- A little oil goes a long way.
- Use wooden or silicone spatulas.
Cleaning
- Let the pan cool before washing. Plunging a hot pan into cold water can shock the iron.
- Wash with a soft sponge and dish soap. It's dishwasher safe, but hand washing keeps the coating newer for longer.
- Dry fully before storing.
Avoid
- Steel wool, scourers and abrasive powders on the cooking surface
- Cutting food inside the pan
- Heating the empty pan on high flame for long periods
