Non-Stick Iron Cookware FAQ | Seasoning, Stoves, COD | Tawaana

FAQ

What is Tawaana cookware made of?

Every Tawaana piece has a super lightweight iron body with a smooth PFOA-free granite-finish non-stick coating on top. It heats evenly like iron but is easy to lift, flip and handle every day.

Is it heavy?

No. Unlike old heavy iron tawas, Tawaana is super lightweight, so it is easy on the wrist when you flip rotis, toss sabzi or carry the karahi to the table.

Do I need to season it?

No. Raw iron needs oiling and seasoning to stop rust and sticking. Tawaana's coating takes care of that, so you just cook, wash and dry.

Will it rust?

No. The coating protects the iron from rust under normal home use.

Which stoves does it work on?

Gas and electric stoves.

Is the coating safe?

Yes. Our non-stick coating is PFOA-free.

Does the wooden handle get hot?

The riveted wooden handle stays comfortable to hold during normal stovetop cooking. Don't put it in the oven or leave it over an open flame.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes. For the longest coating and handle life, we still recommend a quick hand wash with a soft sponge.

Can I use metal spoons?

Use wooden or silicone spatulas to keep the coating at its best. Avoid knives and steel wool on the cooking surface.

How does cash on delivery work?

Place your order, our team calls to confirm, and you pay cash when it arrives. There is no COD fee.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free on orders of Rs 4,000 or more, which includes every set. Below that, it's a flat Rs 250.

What does the warranty cover?

Coating peeling, cracks, warping and manufacturing defects for 1 year from delivery. We replace the piece. No repair runaround.
